Assist in the maintenance of the Hampton Community Garden (HCG), and help with food production for the Hampton Food Basket (HFB). This year, students will also be spending 2 days per week at the Hampton High School Food Forest & Garden, helping with maintenance and projects there.
This work will includes:
- preparation of garden beds, including digging, spreading compost, planting and trans-planting;
- care of garden beds through the summer, including weeding;
- harvesting of food from these beds, and cleaning & delivering to Hampton Food Basket;
- document the quantity of food delivered to the Food Basket from the Community Garden

Stonehammer UNESCO Global Geopark is hiring a Geopark Interpreter. This role will focus on showcasing relevant natural and cultural history sites around the region, while operating primarily out of Saint John. The Geopark Interpreter will inform the public about what Stonehammer does, and educate on the environment, history, and culture of the region, while promoting sustainable tourism initiatives. Programming will be directed at both locals and tourists, and will include events that are free and low cost for the community.
Training will be provided; additionally, the candidate is expected to have excellent communication skills, be comfortable speaking in front of large groups of people, and work independently and with a team. Applicants of all backgrounds and experience levels are encouraged to apply.
Job Type: full-time, seasonal
Contract length: 12 weeks
Salary: $15.30-$16.50 per hour
Expected hours: 35 hours
Schedule: Day shift; Weekends, evenings as needed

The community centre youth worker will work in collaboration with (hopefully) a SEED-sponsored student worker, and TCA volunteers, on summer programming. The youth worker will develop and run a day camp for elementary children 5-12, support summer TCA activities such as a family fun day, the Taymouth Market, the Taymouth Tigers ball field program, enhancement of Nature Trail, green space and building maintenance and repairs, yearly 5 km roadside clean up and will assist with event promotion and reporting through TCA social media. Creative ideas for additional programming welcome. Daily supervision and mentoring provided. Past youth employees have found the TCA a productive learning environment and work experience and an opportunity to learn about community resources and community building, a foundation of community resilience.

The Waitlist Program Coordinator will work with existing agency staff to coordinate, plan, organize and supervise various small group activities and outings for young people who are waiting for a mentor, in accordance with the policies and procedures set out by Big Brothers Big Sisters. The Coordinator will be responsible to facilitate a set schedule of engagement and learning activities throughout the summer months in consultation with agency staff.
This particular job will focus on the development of children and youth through exposure to new activities in a small group mentoring structure.
