The community centre youth worker will work in collaboration with (hopefully) a Canada Summer Jobs employee and TCA volunteers on summer programming. This includes developing and running a day camp for elementary children 5-12, support summer TCA activities such as a family fun day, the Taymouth Market, the Taymouth Tigers ball field program, enhancement of Nature Trail, green space and building maintenance and repairs, yearly 5km roadside clean up, and will assist with event promotion and reporting through TCA social media. Creative ideas for additional programming welcome. Daily supervision and mentoring provided. Past youth employees have found the TCA a productive learning environment and work experience and an opportunity to learn about community resources and community building.
