The Operations Intern will support the day-to-day operations of Station8 and is ideal for someone interested in gaining experience in community development, local food systems, and non-profit operations. The intern will work closely with other staff, volunteers, and community partners to support the daily operations, community outreach, and program development efforts of Station8. This entails communications work (social media, newsletters, website), supervising volunteers, food preparation and processing, event planning and support, and overseeing our community garden. This position requires someone who is very comfortable and trustworthy working independently. We are not a 9 to 5 operation so your flexibility with scheduling is important (regular weekend work is required) and ability to manage your own time effectively is crucial. There is room in this position to make it your own and gain experience that is meaningful to you, we want to hear your ideas!

Be physically able to operate both a ride-on and gas powered lawn mover to mow the lawns each week. Able to operate a weed eater to keep property presentable. Maintain flower beds. Required to clean both inside and outside of the church each week, including washing floors and bathrooms. Small maintenance jobs including painting as required.

The research will require visits to graveyard sites and buildings in Kars. Possibility of a visit to archives, library and museums. Position Summary:
We are seeking a motivated student Social Worker Technician to join our team in supporting Black victims and survivors. This role provides practical, hands-on experience in social services while contributing to restorative justice initiatives. The Social Worker Technician will assist clients in accessing supports, coordinating services, documenting experiences, and facilitating connections with community resources.

Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct support to clients, including intake assistance, needs assessment, and referrals to community resources.
- Assist with documentation, record-keeping, and reporting for client cases and project activities.
- Support the coordination of restorative justice sessions, workshops, and community engagement events.
- Help develop materials that amplify the narratives and experiences of Black victims and survivors.
- Collaborate with the project team to identify and address gaps in service and support.

Under the supervision of the tourism development department, the project officer contributes to the planning, coordination, and implementation of initiatives aimed at supporting and promoting tourism development on the Acadian Peninsula. Cabin Counsellors are responsible for building relationships and fostering the positive development of campers during the campers’ time at camp. Counsellors must be capable of both supervising and acting as play-partners for their campers. Counsellors ensure the basic needs and wellness of campers and CITs are being met. Counsellors who have lifeguarding responsibilities must have a passion and knowledge for health and safety in the workplace, and must oversee all waterfront activities. Counsellors with assigned programming duties must plan and implement developmentally appropriate activities at their scheduled times.
