The Environmental Education & Conservation Assistant supports hands-on environmental conservation and public education initiatives through experiential learning. This position assists with field-based activities such as water quality monitoring, invasive plant and insect monitoring and removal, and trail maintenance. The role also supports environmental education programming by helping develop and deliver summer workshops for children and guiding school groups during nature tours and workshops. The Assistant will work both independently and as part of a team in an outdoor setting. Additional responsibilities include assisting with social media content, data entry, and general organizational tasks. This position provides valuable opportunities to build transferable skills in environmental stewardship, education, communication, and teamwork.

Participants engage in life-skills building activities, physical activity, swim time, and so much more. As a summer support staff you will help make sure the program is a positive experience for all participants, reminding them that just because they have an exceptionality doesn't mean they shouldn't have the opportunity to thrive.

The Association Plein Air Shediac Outdoors Association (APASOA) has the purpose to build and maintain non-motorized nature trails in the town of Shediac and to promote their use. The APASOA has a trail network of approximately 12 km along the Scoudouc River in Shediac. APASOA trails can be enjoyed for walking, hiking, trail running, snowshoeing, mountain biking, or fatbiking. To help maintain the high quality of its trail system, Nature trail workers will contribute to the development of new trails and the maintenance or improvement of existing trails. The Nature trail workers should be ready to engage in physical work such as digging irrigation canals, shoveling dirt, moving rocks, removing roots and other similar actions. Candidates recruited will receive training in proper trail building techniques and will be provided with the necessary trail building tools. The APASOA is seeking applications from autonomous and highly motivated candidates with a high sense of responsibilities.
