Support the daily operation of the community park by coordinating activities, supervising children, and maintaining a safe environment. Students must be outgoing, organized, and able to work independently with minimal supervision. Responsibilities include monitoring park cleanliness and safety, supervising children, and ensuring visitors are safe and well cared for. Students will assist with planning and delivering theme days (e.g. crafts, sports) Rainy days will require schedule changes. This position requires flexibility, including working at least one weekend every two weeks.
Experience in community services, recreation, or summer camps is an asset. CPR/First Aid, WHMIS, and safety training are required or must be obtained. Bilingualism (French/English) is an asset. Applicants must be current (see SEED program) and provide a Criminal Record and Vulnerable Sector Check.

This job is a hospitality and communication position for people with a passion for history and heritage.

The technician will work with the Environment team to collect data during the field season. This may include watershed monitoring, biodiversity research in the local marine protected area, use of acoustic technology to record marine mammals, and more.
