The Recreation Program Leader (RPL) will be responsible for creating and delivering environmental, recreational and fishing-related programs to Day Campers aged 5-12 attending the Hammond River Nature Camp. They will be tasked with planning, organizing and delivering a summer-long program for the children, teaching them about fisheries and forest conservation in the Fundy Royal area. Programs from previous years include tree-planting, insect collecting/identifying, fishing, fly-tying, swimming, kayaking, paddle boarding, sports, field games, wetland tours, wildlife identification, environmental education and environmental clean-up activities. The Recreation Program Leader will coordinate the Day Camp Counsellors’ activities and ensure the programming is educational and entertaining.

The Day Camp Counsellor will be responsible for delivering environmental, recreational, and fishing-related programs to Day Campers aged 5-12 attending the Hammond River Nature Camp. Activities from previous years include tree-planting, insect collecting/identifying, fishing, fly-tying, swimming, kayaking, paddle boarding, sports, field games, wetland tours, wildlife identification, environmental education and environmental clean-up activities.

The Ecological Technician will work on a variety of projects in the Hammond River Watershed. They will work with The Hammond River Nature Camp by delivering environmental and fishing-related programs to Day Campers aged 5-12. They will also take part in field work including wetland monitoring, riparian restoration and water quality testing. Tasks will include analyzing wetland function, tree-planting, tagging fish, and site preparation for wetland restoration efforts. The skills learned in this position would be very useful to a career in environmental biology, biology, forestry, or fisheries.
