The Learning Disabilities Association of New Brunswick is seeking tutors for our Barton Tutoring Program in the greater Fredericton region. This primarily in-person role may also include online tutoring. Tutors provide one-to-one instruction using the internationally recognized Barton Reading and Writing System (Orton-Gillingham approach) to teach reading and spelling fundamentals to children with learning difficulties. In addition to tutoring, tutors will create engaging social media content and assist with community outreach to raise awareness about LDANB and learning disabilities. This role offers hands-on experience, specialized training, and skills valuable for careers in education, child development, or related fields. A criminal background check, including a vulnerable sector report, is required prior to starting.

- Participate in any training related to safety, first aid and adventure
- Maintain a valid Workplace First Aid CPR Level C certificate (minimum); training will be provided
- Clean, inspect and store adventure activity equipment
- Maintain daily/weekly/monthly logs of equipment
- Ensure clients sign waivers, prior to gearing up for activities
