Depending on the assigned department and position, duties may include performing general labour tasks to support municipal operations in Water and Sewer, Roads and Grounds, Parks, and Sports Facilities. Responsibilities may include assisting with water and wastewater operations; working in and around lift stations; painting fire hydrants; performing traffic control; grass cutting, landscaping, and grounds maintenance; planting and maintaining flower beds and trees; watering and general park upkeep; changing garbage and maintaining public spaces. The student may assist with storm system repairs, shovelling asphalt, trail maintenance, and upkeep of playing fields, tracks, tennis courts, and other recreational facilities. Duties also include daily maintenance, inspections, and custodial tasks in comfort stations. Work is performed outdoors in varying weather conditions and requires the ability to perform physical labour safely and effectively as part of a team.

Under the direct supervision of the shelter manager, duties of the position will include: clean and disinfect indoor and outside kennels, cages, food and litter pans. Sweep and mop floors. Wash and dry towels and blankets. Feed, water, groom and socialize cats and dogs. Administer medications. Maintain records such as medical, intake and adoption files. Bike trail work technician is mainly responsible for building and maintaining an established MTB trail network located at the Dieppe Rotary Park. The tasks associated with the work requires manual labor work with wheel barrel, shovel, rake and rogue in transporting, spreading, grooming or digging dirt. The trail work technician will also be involved in preparing MTB race courses prior to events, weed or tree trimming, leaf blowing and other miscellaneous tasks as the need arises.

Job Description:
We are looking for full-time staff for our summer 2026 season. Employment from mid-May until September 4th.

Hours would be full-time between 35 to 40, 5 days a week.

Job Requirements:
- Work under the supervision of the Master Guide
- Rig and belay clients during adventure activities
- Participate in any training related to safety, first aid and adventure
- Maintain a valid Workplace First Aid CPR Level C certificate (minimum); training will be provided
- Clean, inspect and store adventure activity equipment
- Maintain daily/weekly/monthly logs of equipment
- Ensure clients sign waivers, prior to gearing up for activities
- Full detailed orientation and job description with job offer.
