The Visitor Information Counsellor meet and greet visitors and assist them with information like local event information and activities available in the area and in the province. They will also work with the Harvey Regional Heritage & Historical Association to provide visitors with historical information of the Harvey area. Responsibilities: • Identify information needs in support of visitor requests • Provide accurate, detailed information and suggest suitable products to visitors via phone, email and in person • Promote and sell local tourism products and services • Make reservations for visitors • Record statistical information • Sell retail merchandise and handle cash transactions • Maintain brochure racks and ensure adequate inventory is always on hand • Review existing materials and update them as necessary • Perform other administrative duties as required.
