We are seeking a detail-oriented and resourceful student to join our team as a Grant Research Assistant this summer. In this role, you will support the organization by identifying and researching grant opportunities using various grant research databases with the backing our Administration Team to secure funding for our programs and initiatives. This is a fully remote position, you will need a High Speed Internet Connection, and a private Space to work (a home-office, or bedroom). The only skills required for this placement is Microsoft Office, as well as the ability to work alone, and follow written directions without direct supervision, while having access to supervisors for support, electronically (by Telephone, Instant Messaging, etc).

Students will be required to work on the folllowing projects
-Monday Night music even called Summer Sounds
-Manage archive projects
-conduct inventory assessment

-General Church & Property duties
-Tour Guide & welcoming students
Hours will be Monday to Friday with an afternoon start time on Mondays due to the nature of the evening music night. Tuesday to Friday, start time is 10 am
Strong customer service skills are required as this is a community facing role. Interest in history would be an asset. The role involves working independently and as a team depending on projects. Not required to be bilingual, however speaking a second language would be an asset.

Maintain the gardens outside and in the greenhouses at Abbey-Landry school, the gardends at the Senior citizens complexes. Planting, weeding, watering, fertilizing, hoeing, cultivating many vegetables, harvesting, storing and preserving them. We are seeking a person who is motivated, autonomous, dynamic and enthusiastic and who wishes to learn gardening from experienced students, teachers and volunteers while interacting with the people from the community. This summer will be mostly outside in nature, offers flexible hours and the opportunity to learn the concepts of healthy ecological eating for all.

The SAFE program aims to provide a safe and inclusive environment for 2SLGBTQIA+ and Indigenous youth aged 12 to 17 who are victims of or at risk of violence in the Kent region. The program focuses on building their resilience. The community development officer will be responsible for:
Co-organizing events with partner organizations
Participating in local festivals and fairs
Developing support and referral networks
Strengthening community partnerships

Run Recreation programs with the help of others. Such as Playgroup, Bingo, Pool, Baseball.
Maintenance of Building and Grounds. Includes but is not limited to mowing, weedwacking, painting, brush clearing. playground maintenance, weeding. Cleaning.
Do all social media posts, make posters, distribute posters look into free community radio use.
Look for grants to improve the facility or run programs, apply with aid.
Access to a car and a drivers license is an asset.
If you are 19 or older must be willing to get Responsible Beverage which we will pay for.
Must be willing to work Friday nights and Saturday mornings.
Organize and take part in fundraisers.
Setup and tear down for events.
Run the Canteen. We will teach you.
Order and pick up products for the Canteen.
Organize hall.
Any other duties assigned.
You must work outside at times and are expected to be prepared.
Develop new program that you are interested in is an option.

Cleaning up of small property. Trimming small bushes. Keep the interior and exterior of community Hall building clean and tidy. Small painting jobs. Community research. The research will require visits to graveyard sites and buildings in Kars. Possibility of a visit to archives, library and museums. This type of visits and research will be done with a member of the Kars Area Recreational Society executive member.

We are seeking a motivated student Social Worker Technician to join our team in supporting Black victims and survivors. This role provides practical, hands-on experience in social services while contributing to restorative justice initiatives. The Social Worker Technician will assist clients in accessing supports, coordinating services, documenting experiences, and facilitating connections with community resources.

Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct support to clients, including intake assistance, needs assessment, and referrals to community resources.
- Assist with documentation, record-keeping, and reporting for client cases and project activities.
- Support the coordination of restorative justice sessions, workshops, and community engagement events.
- Help develop materials that amplify the narratives and experiences of Black victims and survivors.
- Collaborate with the project team to identify and address gaps in service and support.

Under the supervision of the tourism development department, the project officer contributes to the planning, coordination, and implementation of initiatives aimed at supporting and promoting tourism development on the Acadian Peninsula. He or she participates in coordinating the tourist accommodation tax, supports marketing and communication activities, and collaborates with municipal and tourism partners to enhance the region's attractiveness and visibility.

Recreation Student Maintenance Labourer - are responsible for repairs of the recreational facilities, parks, playgrounds, operation of grass cutting equipment, assists in landscaping of parks and municipal grounds, general clean up of building and grounds as assigned.
