Actor/guides fulfill many roles and are assigned to one of three crews: the Calithumpians provide lunch-time shows and ghost tours; the Fencibles provide heritage tours and animation in the Historic Garrison District; and Camp Counselors work in our drama camps for kids. Employees are assigned to one crew and participate in the research, script development, rehearsal and performance within that crew. Some roles will be English only and others will be Bilingual. Musical ability and performance experience are assets. Employees are trained in the techniques and skills of heritage interpretation and the methods of conducting guided walking tours and other customer services. The 12 to 14-week program includes three to five weeks of training, writing and rehearsal plus 9 to 10 weeks of “open season”, providing tours and live shows and animation activities. In addition to these duties, we will be also be doing much activity online through various social media channels.
