Maintaining the gardens outside and in the greenhouse at Abbey-Landry school, the gardens at the Senior citizens complexes. Planting, weeding, watering, fertilizing, hoeing, cultivating many vegetables, harvesting, storing and preserving them. We are seeking a person who is motivated, autonomous, dynamic and enthusiastic and who wishes to learn gardening from experienced students, teachers and volunteers while interacting with the people from the community. This summer will be mostly outside in nature, offers flexibles hours and the opportunity to learn the concepts of healthy ecological eating for all.

This position consists of the management/administration of a website called ``Bénévole Memramcook Volunteering`` designed to set up a virtual volunteer recruitment and management program. The tasks will consist of promoting the new website to community organizations, offering them the necessary support for registration, i.e. creating their profile and posting the volunteer work/talents sought. Additionally, there will be tasks related to marketing and recruiting new volunteers in the community.

The successful candidate will be responsible for purchasing supplies, handling basic administration duties, planning activities and giving leadership to a summer team of employees and volunteers, who will provide summer programs designed to meet the needs of teens and adults from the special needs community. The successful candidate will give leadership to summer programs and day camps for children, in addition to directing Sunday programming, including elementary, preschool and nursery aged children. The worker will manage the duties of planning, basic administrative tasks, scheduling of volunteers, and meeting all criteria for "plan to protect" (Maintaining ratios of adults to children and providing appropriate training for volunteers).

The successful candidate will assist Youth Ministry staff in planning and preparing for drop in activities for youth and giving leadership to various camp programs. Although the focus will be on working with youth, ages 12-17, the worker may also be asked to give assistance to activities related to children's programming should the need arise and if scheduled activities are not in conflict with one another.

Job Description:
The Nashwaak Rural Community is seeking a motivated Summer Student to join our Public Works team. This position offers an opportunity to gain hands-on experience while helping maintain and beautify public spaces within the community.

Responsibilities:

Sweep and maintain sidewalks and pathways.
Mow and trim grass in parks, along roads, and on public properties.
Assist with painting projects (e.g., benches, signs, or community infrastructure).
Collect and dispose of litter in public areas.
Perform minor landscaping and general maintenance tasks.
Assist Public Works staff with other duties as required.
