Responsibilities will be to assist grounds and maintenance team. Duties may include mowing, hedge trimming, gardening, and light maintenance work to buildings. Some experience and comfort with machinery and hand tools would be an asset. Ability to both take direction and work on their own with minimal supervision is important. As an event coordinator, the summer worker will be required to supervise and guide the other employee. As part of the event coordinator's responsibilities, there will be fundraising activities being held during the employment. He/she will assume the responsibility of preparing and /or verifying deposit slips to be given to the club treasurer. The worker will ensure that the rented rooms are ready for the upcoming activities. A daily activity will also include the cleanliness and a safe workplace for the people entering the premises. Daily activities will also include safety measures to be undertaken while accepting deliveries of items destined to be sold and items to be turned over to the buyer. Sorting, pricing and the organizing of stock will be another important part of the daily tasks. Daily maintenance chores such as sweeping, dusting and bringing out garbage for disposal will be expected.

PALS (Physical Activity and Literacy Skills) Camp is a summer program for kids aged 5–8 that uses physical education to teach literacy. Our goal is to prevent summer learning loss and improve literacy levels through fun, active, and engaging activities.

As Camp Leader, you’ll create a safe and supportive environment for kids to thrive. You’ll assist in planning and delivering literacy activities combined with physical education, supervise staff, and inspire kids to meet their goals.
