This position requires the candidate to work alongside existing staff in the Public Works Department of the Village of McAdam. Duties will include general water and sewer responsibilities, weekly garbage clean-up, vehicle maintenance and all other capital projects for the municipality. Employee requirements would include individuals who can communicate with the public, working outdoors is necessary, some heavy lifting, safety boots and clothing required.

To perform manual work to assist in maintaining lawns, athletic fields and parks. Cut grass, rake, water lawns, operate power lawn mowers and any other equipment in a safe fashion. Perform any other maintenance duties as directed by Supervisor. Assess, report any damaged materials to Supervisor on a daily work day regarding recreational facilities.

Program Coordinators helping to promote Uplands Baptist as a Community Center for people in the community. Programs for both seniors and children as well as families in the community from drop ins to game nights to day camps. Providing games for kids at the Pauline Frizzell Park as well as handing out water bottles and freezies. Organizing our community "Not a Yard Sale - it's free" sale. Community breakfast. Teaching seniors computer skills. We want to create a true community center for all. We want to be a place where all people feel at home, feel safe and are loved.

The work entails basic labour for grounds maintenance on athletic fields and facilities. Must be physically able to perform duties such as pushing a lawn mower, lining, and dragging fields, raking, shovelling, collecting litter, and performing janitorial duties. Moderate lifting will be required for equipment such as bags of lining powder and fertilizer up to 23 kg (50 lb).
